Apple iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X India Prices Announced, Features; Top-end For Over Rs 1 Lakh

 

Yesterday Apple announced it all new most awaited series of iPhone- iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X. The entire series of all three iPhones will be available in 64GB and 256 GB storage variants,there is no 32GB variant like last year’s iPhone 7.


Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will be launching in India on September 29, which is the second batch of countries after the initial launch on September 22. 







The iPhone 8 (64GB) variant is listed at a cost of Rs 64,000 in India while the 256GB iPhone 8 is priced at Rs 77,000. On the other hand, the iPhone8 Plus (64GB) storage variant is priced at a cost of Rs 73,000 and the top-end 256GB iPhone 8 Plus costs Rs 86,000. The new iPhones flaunt a glass rear panel and are the first to support wireless charging.These phones will work with Qi chargers, which is the universal standard.


The special edition iPhone X present in two variant of 64GB and 256GB will cost for Rs 89,000 (64GB) and Rs 1,02,000 (256GB).The iPhone X comes in two in finishes of Space Gray and Silver, with a front and back glass design.

The iPhone X also comes with a 5.8-inch super Retina display and offers 458ppi of pixel density and is based on OLED technology. In addition it gets 3D Touch as well as tap on screen wake function for the iPhone X. Swipe up from the bottom is a simple gesture that replaces the home button function on the iPhone X.Key specifications of the iPhone 8 series are: 4.7-inch Retina HD display with True Tone on the iPhone 8, while iPhone 8 Plus has the bigger 5.5-inch Retina HD display with True Tone.


The Apple iPhone X also uses the facial recognition technology, known as FaceID. Setting up Face ID is as simple as setting up the TouchID. The iPhone X is capable of unlocking even in low-light as most of the hardware is packed in the top front of the iPhone X. It has a neural engine, dual-core design and can do 600 billion operations per second.


Both iphone 8 and iPhone 8 plus are powered by the A11 Bionic chip, which is a six-core processor with four efficiency cores and are water and dust resistant. Both phones have Touch ID for authentication and there’s no edge-to-edge display. The front camera on the iPhone 8 series is 7MP with Retina Flash for improved selfies.The iPhone 8 series also has redesigned stereo speakers, which Apple claims are up to 25 per cent louder and deliver deeper bass, etc.








The iPhone X has vertically arranged f/1.8 and f/2.4 dual-12MP cameras, loaded with dual-OIS and a quad-LED True Tone flash.The iPhone 8 still has a single lens camera with 12MP sensor. 



Apple iPhone 8 Plus has the 12MP+ 12MP rear cameras with Portrait mode, a new Portrait Lighting (beta) and 4K video up to 60 fps. Just like the iPhone 8 Plus the iPhone X comes with the Portrait mode and is also tuned for Augmented Reality (AR) apps. 


 



The front camera on the iPhone X comes with a true depth camera that comes with a front portrait mode for taking images as well. The iPhone X also comes with A11 Bionic chipset that’s also there on the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.


Apple says that their own accessories including leather and silicone cases will be available in a range of colours for the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus starting at Rs 3,100. Also, lightning docks in colour-matching metallic finishes will also be available for Rs 4,700. From a design perspective, Apple iPhone 8 series is glass and aluminium and comes in three colours: Silver, Space Grey and a new gold finish. The glass back is to support wireless charging.
