In an integrated form BSNL and Micromax have joined their hands together to built Bharat 1 mobile to take over on the Reliance Jio Phone. Bharat 1 is a 4G VoLTE enabled feature phone created by state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited and Micromax. It costs for Rs 2,200 and is to be welcomed by October 20th in the market. Still many places in India with more than 50 crores people are yet unawared of the smartphones in India and no internet connectivity is provided. But with this dream they came up clubbing with Micromax to fulfill this dream to connect every citizen of India with Internet.


Now coming on the section of cheap phones with 4G capabilities, BSNL has has not only launched its best low budgeted smartphones but has also taken up the battle on Reliance Jio and Airtel.

  2. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
  3. Comes with 512MB of RAM and 4GB internal memory. 
  4. It has a dual SIM slots and packs a 2,000mAh battery.
  5. 2 MP rear camera and a VGA camera at the front. 
  6. It supports 22 different Indian languages.

Users opting for it will get a pre-loaded Bharat Interface for Money (BHIM) mobile app. BSNL declares that they will provide a suite of services from its network on the phone with an amazing offer to get the option to watch live TV on the Bharat. Moreover it is an Indian made phone.


In terms of data plans BSNL’s tariff plans for the device is very astonishing. BSNL claims that the users will get unlimited voice calling and internet services at just Rs 97 per month.

With this they have let free their customer to use any other networks other than BSNL as they have come up with two SIM slots. Now user is free to use Reliance Jio, Airtel, Vodafone, or any other smartphone which will give the Bharat 1 a big edge over the Jio Phone.
