Water is a good conductor of electricity. Though they don’t mix but if both comes in contact then it may result to an unwanted consequences. It may destroy the electronic circuits. If you comes in contact with it you may get a serious shock, so you need to be careful in such a situation.

Immediately after the spill, one needs to remember two things:

1. Make sure your hands, and the laptop’s power button, are dry.
2. Use a towel if it is very necessary.

Try to turn off the computer that doesn’t mean to shut down your Windows properly. It means press and keep an hold on the power button. The computer will shut itself completely within five seconds.

If you spilled water on the gadget then you just need to follow few steps:

1. Dry the outside parts of the gadget thoroughly with a dry towel.
2. Then take a clean table and put a fresh towel over it.
3. Open the laptop as wide as you can, so that the screen and keyboard are on the same plane.
4. Then put it, face and keyboard down, on that towel-covered table.
5. Leave as it is there for a couple of hours so that the water can drip out.
