The popular Italian super car Lamborghini, have launched its the much awaited fastest SUV - The Urus SUV in the Indian market. The new Lamborghini Urus is company’s new SUV after LM002 which was launched more than 30 years ago. 


The Lamborghini Urus is the world’s fastest SUV and is launched at INR 3 crore (ex-showroom India) in India. The new Urus SUV made its global debut last year is manufactured at the companies facility in Sant’Agata Bolognese. The Urus is underpinned by Volkswagen Group’s MLB Evo platform, which also underpins the Audi Q7, Porsche Cayenne and the Bentley Bentayga. The Urus is a great succus for the company as all the units of the SUV have been already sold out in India even before it was launched in India.

The Lamborghini Urus SUV is placed among the Lamborghini Huracan and Aventador S and is in direct competition against the Lexus LX, Bentley Bentayga and the Range Rover SVAutobiography. The Lamborghini Urus is claimed to be the fastest SUV and can hit a speed of 100 kmph in just 3.6 seconds and provides a top speed of 305kmph. Lamborghini Urus SUV Exterior Features:


 

On the exterior front, the SUV comes with a large inverted U shaped front grille with hexagonal black inserts, a full LED headlights system with Y-shaped LED DRLs, 4 slats on the air vents with horizontal slats, arrow-shaped LED tail lights and body cladding with silver skid plates.



Dimensionally the Urus SUV will measure 5112mm in length, 2016mm in width, and 1638mm in height. The SUV spots 21-inch machined alloy wheels with a wheelbase of 3003mm.

The Interior of the Lamborghini Urus SUV has been kept true to the Lamborghini DNA and features the iconic Y-shaped dashboard along with a leather upholstery, 3-spoke steering wheel. The SUV comes with a digital cockpit and features 2 touchscreen interface and more.


 

The SUV is controlled with the central console, that sports 3 TFT displays - one for the instruments, one for infotainment and one for comfort functions including virtual keyboard functions with handwriting recognition. The centre console also comes with the drive mode selector which has been named as the Adaptive Network Intelligent Management (ANIMA). The company also offers varied customisations with the interiors using a variety of colours and materials. The interior also features the fighter jet style start button. The SUV features a boot space of 616 litres.




Lamborghini Urus SUV Engine and Performance:


 

The Lamborghini Urus SUV comes with a powerful 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine. The powerful Lamborghini Urus's engine generates a maximum power of 641 BHP at 6,000 RPM and produced a peak torque of 850Nm @ 2250-4500rpm. the engine features an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission and the power generated is transferred to all four wheels with the help of an all-wheel drive (AWD) unit.


The Lamborghini Urus comes with a fuel capacity of 75-litre, which goes up to 85-litre when on reserve. The Lamborghini Urus features a powerful Braking system with massive 440 mm front and 370 mm rear carbon ceramic brakes. The SUV can run 100km on 12.7 litres of fuel and can hit the 0-100 kmph in 3.6 seconds and 200 kmph in 12.8 seconds.


 

The Urus’ features four different drive modes, which are Strada, Sport, Corsa, and Neve (snow) along with two optional modes as well — Terra (off-road) and Sabbia (sand) — all of which tweak the suspension stiffness, steering feel, transmission response, exhaust note, and ride height accordingly.
