Tokyo Motor Show 2017 : Kawasaki unveil all New Ninja 400

The Japanese bike maker Kawasaki, has unveiled its all new Ninja 400 at the 2017 Tokyo Motor show. The new Kawasaki Ninja 400 is going to replace Ninja 300 in International market including India. The new Ninja 400 is expected to make its debut in India, at upcoming 2018 Auto Show to be held at New Delhi.

The Ninja 400 is powered with all new parallel twin 399cc Engine, offering significant increase in power and Torque. The Ninja 400 is around 6kg lighter than Ninja 300. The Ninja 400 is all set to take on its competitors like KTM RC390, the Yamaha YZF-R3, BMW G 310 R, Benelli 302R and many more.

According to Kawasaki, the new Ninja 400 will offer improved low-end torque with smooth throttle response. The Ninja 400 also has an assist-and-slipper clutch that makes clutch lever, 20 per cent lighter to pull.

The parallel twin 399cc Engine of Ninja 400 offers 44bhp @ 10,000rpm and 38Nm of torque @ 8000rpm, higher upto 38bhp and 27Nm of torque then its predecessor.

  • Ninja 400 has a large-volume bodywork inspired from Ninja H2, making it look substantially larger and wider than its predecessor.

  • The new Ninja 400 is around 6kg lighter than Ninja 300 and is built on a new steel trellis frame. 

  • The Ninja 400 weighs 168kg (wet).

  • The Ninja 400 also features LED headlamps, each with low and high beams, as well as a LED position lamp.

  • Ninja 400 has a wider seat with a height of 786mm, making it very accessible to most of the riders.

  • The Ninja 400 is claimed to have 14-liters of fuel tank.

  • The Ninja 400 is backed with various accessories like larger screen, power outlet, ERGO-FIT high seat (+30 mm), tank bag, tank pad, radiator screen, frame sliders, wheel rim tape, pillion seat cover, helmet lock and U-lock.

  • The Ninja 400 will be available in two paint schemes: Metallic Spark Black, Lime Green and Ebony (KRT Edition).
